My Booklist

  • Books, Books, Books!

There are so many wonderful books for first graders to read that it would be impossible for me to name them all.  From classics such as Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss and Eric Carle's, The Very Hungry Caterpillar to one of my favorite's, Froggy Goes to School by Jonathan London, there's an endless list of fabulous books to read.  However, reading a variety of genres is the best way to expand a child's understanding of the world and develop a love of learning.

In class we will discuss several different genres:

    fiction

    non-fiction

    fantasy

    folk tales

    fairy tales

    poetry

    historical fiction

    biography
