We Are W.I.S.E.R.
At FWS our goal is to be W.I.S.E.R.!
W - Well-mannered
I - Independent
S - Safe
E - Encouraging
R - Respectful
We spend a lot of time discussing and role-playing what it means to be W.I.S.E.R. at school. What does it mean to be W.I.S.E.R. in the classroom, in the Auditeria, on the playground and on the buses? Our faculty and staff are giving out "feathers" whenever they see one of our students demonstrating a W.I.S.E.R. behavior throughout the day. Once a child collects five, ten or twenty feathers, he or she may redeem them for one of the following rewards:
*Be the teacher’s helper for the day!
*Visit another classroom and help the teacher for 15 minutes.
*You can eat lunch in the classroom with the teacher. You may bring a friend, too!
Let's strive to be W.I.S.E.R.!
In addition to the school-wide W.I.S.E.R. feathers, we have a "feather system" in our classroom. For each "WISER" act that a student is showing, he or she will receive a feather. At the end of the week, the feathers can be redeemed to "purchase" prizes from the prize box. This is a fun way to encourage positive behavior in the classroom.
