Check out what our news of the month is in music class!
Happy New Year, everyone! Our 3rd graders are starting off the year with their recorders this week. This is their first experience in perfecting an instrument and learning the art of practicing by applying their new practice procedure to each song introduced. They will work toward achieving a Recorder Karate "belt" with each playing test and showcase what they've learned in a concert on May 17th! Check the calendar for more details.
Congratulations to the 4th and 5th graders, who performed beautifully in their winter concert! The choruses sang selections such as Whisper, Bidi Bom, and Winter Fantasy. Now it is time for a well-deserved break as we rest up before beginning our repertoire for the spring! Bravo to all!
Next month's post will feature our 4th and 5th graders. For this month, here is an update of what some of our younger general music classes have been working on recently!

3rd Grade - Comparing biographies of composers Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven and relating their musical experiences to our own
