Meet Mrs. Landry

  • Welcome to Chorus, Orchestra, and General Music at Furnace Woods with Mrs. Landry!

I have been a teacher with the Hendrick Hudson School District, as well as others throughout the state, for nearly fifteen years. Previously, I taught elementary general music, chorus, and orchestra in New York City, and middle school orchestra and high school AP music theory on Long Island. Though my main instrument was originally violin, I am also proficient on piano, voice, ukulele, and organ.

I received a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the Hartt School of Music at University of Hartford and a Master of Music degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.

I enjoy the creative atmosphere general music embodies, the nuances involved in learning a string instrument, and making music with the one instrument we all have access to as human beings - our voices! Be sure to browse the other tabs on this site for practice recordings, concert dates, and other additional information. I look forward to working with your 4th & 5th graders this year!
