October 10, 2019
Our Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday evening, October 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday, November 5th from 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
This year, we will again be using the online scheduling program (Pick A Time) which enables parents to schedule their own appointments. Access to this program will be available from Monday, October 21st at 5pm until Friday, October 25th at 5pm, directly from the BMMS website. When you are ready to schedule your appointments, go to the BMMS webpage, go to Community and under For Parents, click on Pick A Time BMMS.
Parents will be able to schedule 15-minute team conferences for the 4 main academic classes (English, Math, Social Studies and Science). Look for your child’s TEAM name when attempting to schedule a conference. Other subject areas (Unified Arts, Physical Education and Music) will have 10 minute slots available by teacher. If your child takes a foreign language, receives Integrated Co-Teach (ICT) services, or receives English as a New Language, you will NOT see those teachers listed. After your Team conference is scheduled, those teachers will make every effort to attend.
Parents of classified students who receive predominately special class/small class instruction will have the opportunity to meet with Mr. Hirsch, Ms. McNally/Mrs. Kahn, Mrs. Witkowich and Ms. deGrasse as a team. Please look for “Hirsch Team” when attempting to schedule your conference.
Please understand that there are not enough time slots to accommodate the entire parental population, but you always have the option to email or leave voicemail messages for teachers at any time. Additionally, 20 minute scheduled team meetings will be available during the school year by calling 257-5700 and pressing option 3 for the guidance office. If you have already attended a team meeting this year or have one scheduled, please give other parents an opportunity to meet with teachers by not scheduling an additional meeting on October 29th or November 5th.
If, at any time throughout the year, you would like to leave a message for a teacher, dial 257-5700. When you hear the recorded greeting, press * and enter the first three letters of the teacher’s name (first or last). Alternatively, you can send an email by using the teacher’s first and last name separated by a period, followed by @henhudschools.org. For your convenience, direct links to teacher emails can be found on Blue Mountain Middle School’s webpage under Staff Directory - scroll down for a complete staff listing with their email addresses.
If you have any problems regarding the conference scheduling process, please feel free to call my secretary, Mrs. Brandt, at 257-5712.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
