Princeton Plan Information & Resources
Hendrick Hudson School District is currently considering adopting the Princeton Plan. No elementary schools would be closing; instead there would be a reorganization of the grades by building. The suggested reorganization is to group Kindergarten & grade 1 together, grades 2 & 3 together, and 4 & 5 together. Furnace Woods will have two grades; Frank G. Lindsey will house two grades, and Buchanan-Verplanck will have two grades.
The Board of Education voted during their March 24th, 2021 meeting (video on YouTube) to move forward with a resolution to implement a Princeton Plan model for our school district beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. The formal resolution was adopted during their April 7, 2021 meeting (video on YouTube). We will share any information we receive as it becomes available.
Resources for parents:
The Hendrick Hudson School district has created a Princeton Plan page on their website. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page for a number of important documents, including the district's cost analysis, tax calculator and the Princeton Plan Stakeholder Committee's SWOT analysis.
On March 16, 2021, the HHHS PTSA and the BMMS PTA hosted a joint Q&A Session with Superintendent Hochreiter (video on YouTube) where parents asked questions about how implementing the Princeton Plan would affect the middle school and high school.

2021 Teacher/Staff Grant Request Form
Proposals may be for projects, activities, books, equipment or anything that enhances the academic lives of students at Hendrick Hudson High School. While preference is given to proposals that offer school-wide access to students, teachers are also encouraged to submit proposals that will benefit their individual classrooms or grade level. Grant requests up to $500 will be considered; any grant requests over this amount are dependent on what is available in the budget.
Please email your completed form to email@example.com at least 30 days before the funding is needed, and copy Mr. Mackin on the email. Mr. Mackin will do the first review of proposals for content, appropriateness and to determine if alternate funding sources are available. The PTSA Board will then review the requests. We look forward to hearing about your project or activity.
