Four HHHS Seniors Recognized by 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program
Hendrick Hudson High School has announced that Elizabeth McDowell, Fiona McGovern, Isolde McManus and Vanessa Rossi have been named Commended Students in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2021 competition by taking the 2019 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).

District to Provide Free School Breakfast and Lunch for All
The Hendrick Hudson School District is pleased to announce that when students return to in-person learning on September 29, all children under the age of 19 will be eligible for free breakfast and lunch, regardless of household income. This is a temporary program funded by the US Department of Agriculture.

FGL Lights the Way to District's Use of Renewable Energy Sources
Families pulling up to Frank G. Lindsey this month will notice some very interesting additions to the parking area in front of the building. Six 30-foot structures, adorned with school district logos on banners and topped with spinning turbines, look a bit like kinetic sculptures, but are actually wind and solar-powered streetlights.

Wearing masks, keeping socially distanced, not gathering in large groups and maintaining good hand hygiene are the keys to our success.

Tax bills are arriving in mailboxes, and local residents may notice that the bill is higher than they anticipated, based on the school district’s recent budget process. A reduction in STAR reimbursements by the state and a move toward rebate checks rather than upfront savings on tax bills, can make it appear that a tax bill is higher than it really is.
